Between May and July, bees may appear in larger numbers (swarms) in our environment, usually on tree branches. This transitional period, before finding a permanent home, is worth taking advantage of in order to get them into the right environment. Failing to do so, bees can find their home in sheltered, warm cavities such as window shutters, attics, building insulation, etc. The presence of bees does not necessarily pose a threat unless we react to bee stings with increased allergic symptoms or if their pathways constantly cross our environment.

Towards the end of summer, wasps can disturb you, especially after a long, dry, warm period. Their more aggressive behavior can lead to more unpleasant situations. Large Asian and European hornets are especially dangerous.

Capture or removal of bees and wasps requires appropriate expertise and equipment. Attempts by an incompetent person can be dangerous or even fatal. Be sure to consult with an expert: preferably a beekeeper or an insecticide specialist.
